Staying active can be as simple as playing with your dogs for as little as an hour a day. If you walk, play with, or just run around with your dog every day, it’s emotionally and physically good for you.

Staying active can be long and boring if you aren’t doing the things you enjoy while you are being active. Everyone has ridden a bike before but if you get a couple friends to go with you, it can be a day of pure enjoyment!
One of my favorite ways of having a day full of exercise is bike riding. I put some headphones on and will ride for miles in the morning. It’s great because it’s not hard on your joints and unlike running, there’s no constant contact that can wear on you. It’s just you and the road and the music you decide to listen to. You would be extremely surprised if you picked up some drum sticks and started jamming on the drums. It’s actually a great workout for your whole body because you are always moving and getting faster and faster.
Part of the reason I started playing the drums was because they were easier to pick up and play compared to a guitar or piano. I have always enjoyed listening to music and the drums are great if you can keep a rhythm but yet you can’t read music at all or at least too well. Another good but surprising way to stay active is to join your friends on the lake. Go ahead and give wakeboarding or water skiing a try, you might just really like it! Wakeskating is a variation of wakeboarding and it’s a lot like skateboarding on water.
I’ve been riding for a few years and it never gets old. We ride behind a jetski, or you can even ride behind a winch if you are in a tight spot. After riding, your arms and legs are extremely worn out if you haven’t done it much so it’s an awesome way of staying active and having fun at the same time. Read the rest of this entry
When it comes to finding ways to stay active, it’s important to stay motivated and to enjoy what you’re doing. A great thing about running or walking a 5K is that you gain awareness and raise money for good causes.
There are many places you can go to run a 5k worldwide. A 5K is approximately 3.1 miles, so it can be a bit intimidating to some people but don’t let that stop you from at least trying it because you will meet a ton of fun people and you might end up liking it and enjoying the community. There are many ways people decide to get their exercise and some are more creative than others. We get so busy with our daily lives at work and at school and forget to get our exercise. Staying active doesn’t have to be a chore. We generally think of exercise as an annoyance but we are here to tell you it’s not like that at all.
If you play different games such as disc golf frequently, you will realize how much walking you actually do but at the same time, it’s an amazing time with your friends also. The amount of walking and hiking you do while you play is at least a couple miles for each course. If you end up playing a couple times a week then you have knocked out a few miles in a week and that’s definitely well on your way to staying in shape if you keep it up. Read the rest of this entry
